ONYX Graphics Adds Support for HP® Designjet® 8000s Printer Series
SALT LAKE CITY, Jan. 8 // -- ONYX Graphics today announced it has added support for the HP Designjet 8000s Printer series. The driver is available for all ONYX version 7.0 workflow solution software products including ONYX ProductionHouse(TM), ONYX PosterShop(R) and ONYX RIPCenter(TM).
In alliance with HP, ONYX Graphics has optimized the HP Designjet 8000s driver and profiles to operate the printer at its top performance capabilities. ONYX software solutions include key features such as PANTONE(R) Spot Color Matching, Contour Cutting Workflow and Job Nesting, which enhance the performance capabilities of the HP Designjet 8000s printer, making the user experience intuitive while maximizing productivity.
The HP Designjet 8000s printer is a 64-inch inkjet that creates vivid, durable outdoor signage. The ONYX driver includes support for the following HP Designjet 8000s features:
o Printer Resolution: 720 x 720 dpi, 540 x 720 dpi and 360 x 360 dpi.
o Ink Configurations: CMYKcm.
o Media Options: supports heater settings for front, print and rear;
print direction; cutter; media feed length and media feed adjust; and
mode select.
o Superior Error Handling: bi-directional communication support for
error handling; displays select printer warnings before printing.
The ONYX driver includes color profiles for all HP media for the HP Designjet 8000s. Additional third-party profiles from media providers such as Avery(R), Kapco(R) and Oce(R) will be available on the ONYX website over the coming weeks. ONYX continues to work closely with HP and other media providers to produce a wide range of media profiles.
Pricing
The HP Designjet 8000s printer driver is included in ONYX ProductionHouse, ONYX PosterShop and ONYX RIPCenter Version 7. Registered users with ONYX RIPCenter Version 7 can add the driver at an additional cost from their local reseller.
