Samtec One-Piece Power Interface Increases Power-to-Board Flexibility
Samtec's new One-Piece Power interface (OPP Series) is rated at up to 5 amps and provides a rugged interface for power boards. Connectors are soldered to the main board; the power board is attached by either metric and English mechanical fasteners. These interfaces are available with a choice of three, seven or ten contacts on .100" (2,54mm) pitch.
Optional Alignment Pins can be provided on the top, bottom or both sides of the OPP to ease processing and assure proper alignment when assembling the boards.
In addition to increasing reliability, this robust one-piece interface reduces cost by requiring the purchase and processing for just one component rather than two.
