On2 Technologies Announces TrueMotion® VP6(TM) and VP7(TM) Support for NXP Semiconductors


On2's industry-leading video compression schemes to be supported on NXP media processing platforms for a wide range of video devices

TARRYTOWN, N.Y., July 9 / / -- On2 Technologies, Inc., (AMEX:ONT), a leader in video-compression software and solutions, announced today that NXP Semiconductors has integrated On2's industry leading TrueMotion VP6 and VP7 compression schemes' support on its Nexperia processor platforms for use in a myriad of consumer devices.

As a result of this agreement, chipsets for multiple product categories from NXP will be able to offer On2 TrueMotion support on devices ranging from mobile and personal devices, to home entertainment consumer electronics.
