BCS Global Releases Virtual Presence "On-Site" Service Bringing Worldwide Managed Service Capability Directly to Customer Premise Locations

New Service Extends Customer Video Communication Capabilities by Maximising Infrastructure and Network Investments

LONDON, August 20 -- BCS Global today announced the availability of their new Virtual Presence "On-Site Infrastructure" service (Virtual Presence OSI), an end-to-end video conferencing infrastructure management solution that integrates seamlessly into existing customer premise based equipment and networks. Through the Virtual Presence "OSI" service, customers are able to maintain complete control of their in-house infrastructure and on-site equipment, but hand over the day-to-day management and service readiness to the BCS Global expert team. In addition, adding the Customer Premise Equipment (CPE) as another point-of-presence on the BCS network provides infrastructure failover redundancy and access to the world's only global video exchange. The Virtual Presence 'OSI' service reduces customers' overall support costs while providing a global reach.

The Virtual Presence "OSI" service has been specifically designed to meet the unique needs of customers who wish to maximise the use of their existing network infrastructure while gaining access to BCS Global's advanced IP-based video conferencing applications, customer support and worldwide network connectivity. These customers will no longer need to spend additional staff time and significant investment managing their own in-house bridges or dealing with complex upgrade or support issues.

By utilising the existing BCS Global Virtual Presence network backbone and Virtual Communication Exchange, these customers are able to get the most out of their investment while accessing all the advanced capabilities, applications and features of the BCS Global Virtual Presence IP solution - including an unlimited-use video calling plan, 24x7 global support, and worldwide connectivity - all with the extra ability to now have their call launching needs managed directly through their own Multipoint Control Unit (MCU).

"BCS Global continues to recognise the accelerating video communication needs of our customers and is excited to respond with the introduction of the Virtual Presence OSI solution" said Dan Tanel, Chief Technology Officer of BCS Global Networks. "This new service is exactly what our more advanced customers from around the world have been asking for, and has been uniquely developed to remain flexible enough to meet the specific hardware, network or support needs that they each individually may have."

The BCS Global Virtual Presence suite of services is an easy-to-use, simple to connect and affordable video conferencing and collaboration solution, providing seamless worldwide connectivity and complete interoperability with other networks and equipment - including standard definition, high definition, telepresence suites, ISDN and 3G - as well as complete end-point and directory management. Customers also have access to 'always on' Virtual Video Meeting Rooms, customised screen layouts and detailed billing, all fully supported by one of the industries most advanced Video Network Operations Centers (VNOC), with access to the BCS Global "Video Concierge" service, providing a live person via video for face-to-face assistance or support.
