OKI to Present Four DICOM Color Printers at ECR 2015

DICOM Solutions from OKI Integrate Seamlessly with Clinical Systems to Deliver Superior Quality Medical Images and Documents

TOKYO — OKI Data Corporation, an OKI Group company specializing in the printer business, today announced presentation of four unique Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine (DICOM) printers developed for the medical imaging market. OKI will demonstrate the C610DM,C711DM, C831DM, and C910DM High Definition color printing devices in booth 564 – Lower Level, Expo E – at the upcoming this year's European Society of Radiology Annual Congress (ECR 2015) taking place from Thursday, March 5 to Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Austria Center in Vienna.

The C610DM, C711DM, C831DM and C910DM feature fully embedded DICOM print servers, and integrate OKI's award-winning LED color printing technology to deliver high-quality, cost-effective color or monochrome output without the need for conversion software or external hardware.

This suite of reliable and easy-to-use OKI printers handles A4 (letter) and A3 (tabloid) size media to produce non-diagnostic X-rays, nuclear medicine scans and ultrasounds with superior image interpretation and integrity. In addition, all devices can be used for standard office printing needs for even greater workplace efficiency. As a result, they are ideal for hospitals, clinics and medical training establishments, as well as dentists and veterinary practices.

"The C610DM, C711DM, C831DM and C910DM from OKI offer many of the same legendary features and functionality as other models from our broad and award-winning portfolio – but with the added benefit of embedded DICOM technology," said Patrick Rabel, Director of the Medical Solution Department for OKI Data Corporation.

"OKI printing solutions are known for their media flexibility, high quality output, reliability, ease of use, and low total cost of ownership," continued Rabel. "Our four DICOM color printers are no exception. We are pleased to introduce them at this year's ECR show and demonstrate the ways in which they can integrate with clinical imaging systems to meet both DICOM and a range of office printing needs."

DICOM is the primary international standard for the handling, storing, printing and transmission of medical imaging and other related information. OKI was the first company to introduce LED-based print solutions, which are significantly faster, more flexible and cost-effective than existing DICOM solutions based on film or solid ink technologies.

The ECR is the annual meeting of the European Society of Radiology (ESR). With more than 20,000 participants from over 100 countries, it is a trend-setting, dynamic and service-oriented congress, well-known as one of the most innovative meetings within the scientific community, embedded in a unique and inspiring ambience.
