Oil Collection Device reduces machine tool coolant waste.

Press Release Summary:

Oil Pure MS-BZ features Quick Suction Pot System (Q Pot) that collects floating substances through automatic surface suction, regardless of turbulence of fluid. It requires no liquid-level adjustment after installation. Pump uses bellows-type design to separate floating substances smoothly, without further agitation. Adjustable surface levels allow users to change settings to separate fluids of different weights and viscosities.

Yasda Introduces the Oil Pure MS-BZ Ultra-Compact Oil Collection Device

Elk Grove Village, IL (September 4, 2002) - Yasda's new Oil Pure MS-BZ reduces machine tool coolant waste and saves oil discharge disposal costs.

By efficiently separating coolant from oil discharge, the Oil Pure extends the life of machine tool coolant. The accurate and fast collection of discharged oils saves time and disposal costs as well. What's more, the Oil Pure enhances processing precision by preventing degradation of the coolant. It even reduces the workload in processing after washing operations by preventing re-adhesion of oils.

Featuring a Quick Suction Patented Pot System (Q Pot), the Oil Pure collects floating substances through automatic surface suction, regardless of the turbulence of the fluid. It requires no liquid-level adjustment after installation. The ultra-compact separation unit then separates substances by relative weight. Next, the Oil Pure's pump uses an innovative bellows-type design to separate floating substances smoothly, without further agitation. The pump is designed to reduce jamming problems caused by mixtures of chips and floating oil. Adjustable surface levels allow users to change settings to separate fluids of different weights and viscosities.

In a study comparing Oil Pure to a commercial oil recovery device, the former recovered approximately 80% of the oil after five minutes, while the latter only recovered around 40%. After a completed cycle, results indicated that Oil Pure successfully collected oil, while the commercial device failed to collect some floating substances, and coolant remained mixed with wastewater. The Oil Pure also performs faster collections than conventional belt and disk skimmers.

Other applications for Yasda's Oil Pure include recovery of substances in washing processes, separation of fluids in drain water from compressors, disposal of materials in wastewater treatment and more.

The Oil Pure is compactly designed (188 x 426 x 25 7cm). The pump and separation tank can be installed separately. Little or no maintenance is required for the Oil Pure and its peripheral equipment.
