OHMIC Instruments Co. Has Exhibited at the AAMI Show Since "1978"

This year, 2012, marks OHMIC's continuous participation in the Conference & Expo since 1978. Mr. Roveti commented, "The show has grown and now looks like a five-continent get-together attended by biomeds and other people with hi-tech know-how who are looking for new products and business opportunities."

OHMIC CORPORATE DEVELOPMENT

Since 1988 a line of analog and digital ultrasound transducer power output meters were
introduced and later evaluated by the FDA and NIST, as well as the European community. The company achieved a leading position in an expanding world market. Our meters are used in more than 50 countries. Developing technology includes a wide range of transducers for bone density, therapeutic, and diagnostic ultrasound. Our oversea sales increased, particularly in the Far East, such as China and Japan. Corporate net profit averaged in the 20% range in the past six years. OHMIC is looking for alignment with a firm for future growth and progressive new product development with a company in the ultrasound or medical field. WHY THE NAME, "OHMIC"?

The electrical term "ohmic" means that a purely resistive condition exists; that is, a Linear Voltage vs. Current Change. This is also a property of our widely used patient isolators as they operate in the "ohmic" resistance range. OHMIC's Iso-Switch opens up when the rated safe current level is exceeded.

In the 1980's, OHMIC developed a line of relative humidity sensors that change their "ohmic" resistance inversely proportional to the surrounding concentration of water vapor.

THE NEW UME UTILIZING MAGNETIC LEVITATION

The new Ultrasound Meter Evaluator (UME) is an accessory to the OHMIC line of digital Ultrasound Power Meters (UPM). The UME adds a new method to test Physical Therapy Units in conjunction with the UPM.

It is desirable to use low calibration weights calibrated in watts. A UME includes a set of 1-5-10-15 watt-weights, with ±1% accuracy. The watt-weights allow for a quick, low end accuracy check.

THE VERSATILE UPM-DT-50SP

The Ohmic Ultrasound Power Meter, model UPM-DT-50SP is a light-weight portable ultrasound power meter available in a choice of polyethylene case with custom padding or black anodized aluminum case. The "50SP" can be battery operated and has an optional
RS-232 or USB output.

COMPRESSED/ BREATHING AIR

Health care facilities require monitoring of compressed air. High dew point levels produce condensation. OHMIC's Model AMM-15 Airline Moisture Monitor verifies the dew point at multiple compressed air outlets. The hand held unit has a built in logger and stores readings that can be downloaded to a PC. OHMIC also manufactures alarm/monitoring/logging units equipped with audio and visual alarms as required by NFPA 99 code.
