Ohmic Calibrates, Repairs and Service What we Manufacture

Repair, Calibration, and NIST Traceable Certification

Now Available Ohmic Calibration Lab Services

The new service includes.

1. Ultrasound Power Meters/ Medical Test Equipment

2. Dewpoint/ R.H. Meters

To assure acceptable patient treatment levels test instruments are specified by US and International standards and safety agencies. Periodic performance test, usually done on a yearly basis, are required that includes product certification and traceability of calibration.

Ambient of calibration test environment

For maximum accuracy a dual temperature control maintain a +20 Deg. centigrade. Air movement is indirect to reduce changes to minimum. To avoid variations in vibration and mechanical stability a padded set up base is used.

Testing Ultrasound Power Meters

Before calibration the physical condition of the Power Meter, including balance linearity, durometer of the rubber lining, cone condition, balance assembly etc. is made. The standard method of cal. Is the use of certified weights. All weights are certified yearly and referenced to NIST traceable standard, Certification 673181 A& B. A calibration report entitled CERTIFICATE OF CALIBRATION is supplied. Typical 5 point calibration points shown below.

 Calibration weights used:

 100 mg

 200 mg

 500 mg

 1 G

 2 G

 The five power levels are:

 1.46 W

 2.93 W

 7.32 W

 14.65 W

 29.30 W

 Actual readings (Watts)

 1.40 W

 2.80 W

 7.40 W

 14.60 W

 29.40 W

CALIBRATION FEES

Ultrasound Power Meters UPM-30............................................. $115.00

UPM-DT,s ......................................... $165.00

Biomedical Testers BET-300/SI-100 ................................$150.00

Pressure Meters PPM series........................................$85.00

Testing Dewpoint / R.H. Meters

All Ohmic humidity meter utilize a thin film or polymer sensor with thermistor probe. The indicated temperature and %R.H. levels are converted to Dewpoint, %R.H., or temperatures display by a psychrometric equation. Several years of environmental changes may result in reading deviation and yearly calibration is recommended to maintain ANSI/NFPA-99 specifications. Ohmic calibration lab has several chilled mirror Dewpoint meters with yearly calibration certificate of traceability a three point calibration certificate is supplied typical values are shown below.

Ohmic’s certified moisture system can generate Dew points from – 45 ºF to + 90 ºF , Temperatures from 50 ºF to 140 ºF , and %R.H. from 0.5 % to 100%. Dewpoint and %RH meters in these ranges can be certified with NIST traceable standards.
