Off-On Latching Pushbutton Switches for Harsh Applications
APEM, a leading manufacturer of numerous high quality switch families, has just expanded their popular IP Series pushbutton switches designed for harsh environments. In addition to a variety of momentary action units, new latching action OFF - ON models have been added. These new models provide the highly desireable visual indication of the switch state with a two position actuator. When the switch is in the OFF position, the actuator projects noticeably higher than when the switch is in the ON position.
Compact in size, these switches mount in a 13.6 mm hole and project behind the front panel less than 20 mm. They feature shock and vibration resistance, round and square panel bezels, and illumination options, as well. 7 actuator color choices with their black bezel frame enhance the panel cosmetics and satisfy coding requirements
Sealing to IP67 is another important advantage offered with this series. An internal elastomeric membrane located under the actuator ensures this effective sealing.
General specifications for these models include:
o Maximum current voltage ratings of 100 mA at 24 VDC with life of 200,000 cycles, 2 A at 125 VAC with life of 10,000 cycles (per UL 1054).
o Gold plated silver contacts.
o Robustness meets IK06 according to EN S0102 (non-illuminated models).
o A choice of either solder lug or insulated wire lead terminals.
