Original Press Release:

Pressure Sensor is Small in Size... but Big on Performance

Moorpark, CA --- Kavilco's latest model P4050 OEM pressure transducer has been designed for operation in applications where size matters as well as accuracy and repeatability over a wide temperature range. The compact/lightweight package (2.5 grams) makes installation of this device ideal for those applications on Printed Circuit Boards, where space is limited. The molded, tube-fitted process port allows for quick and easy connection to the media via flexible tubing.

Typical applications for this device include applications such as, air brakes, air compressors, tire inflation systems, vehicle air-ride systems, or any applications with air or inert gas media.

The sensor utilizes micro-machined (PRT) Piezoresitive sensing technology. It is fully amplified and temperature compensated with a built-in Kavlico application specific integrated circuit (ASIC). The sensor operates on 5 Vdc and provides a .5 to 4.5 Vdc linear output. It is available in pressure ranges of 0-101.5, 0-145, and 0-203 psig and can be calibrated to other ranges for high volume OEM applications. This high accuracy sensor has an operating temperature of -40°C to 100°C and has overvoltage and reverse polarity protection.
