Alpha Aromatics®, has recently announced 4-O-Dor™, an odor neutralizer additive for use in personal care products such as under arm deodorants, soaps, hand creams, wipes and other cosmetic applications.

4-O-Dor™ is a cationic formulation that has been specifically designed to eliminate a wide range of odors, while providing a number of other performance benefits to cosmetic, personal care and also household formulations. 4-O-Dor™ action complexes with many different malodorous materials, thus mending them in place and rendering them nonvolatile In addition, 4-O-Dor™ is highly substantive to proteinaceous materials such as skin and hair, and being made from soybeans, it can be considered as a naturally-derived ingredient and should be favorably viewed in green products. 4-O-Dor™ Concentrate is completely water soluble, and its additional strong surfactant qualities can help in reducing and/or coupling other emulsifying agents. 4-O-Dor™ Is chemically identical to *Forestall™, and can be used as a drop-in replacement.
