MMD Introduces Rad-Hardened, High-Stability OCXOs
RANCHO SANTA MARGARITA, Calif., November 15, 2006 - MMD Components (Monitor & Quartztek), a producer of frequency control devices, has introduced a series of rad-hardened oven-controlled crystal oscillators (OCXOs), with a radiation tolerance of up to 1 G, for use in a variety of industrial and military applications.
Using proprietary compensation and stabilization methods, the new OCXOs can maintain a frequency stability of 1 ppb over a wide operating temperature range of -55ºC to +85ºC. Customers can specify sine wave, HCMOS, TTL or PECL output; a frequency range of 1 MHz to 120 MHz; and an input of 3.3, 5, 12 and 15 volts. Custom frequencies and input voltages are also available.
The units can withstand swept sine vibration of 20 G's, 10 Hz to 500 Hz, and mechanical shock of 500 G's, half-sine pulse @ 0.1 milliseconds, 3 axis; MMD can also accommodate a customer's more stringent requirements. In addition, the OCXOs have been tested and screened per MIL-PRF-55310 and MIL-STD-883 Class B standards.
The OCXOs come in a variety of packages - 14-pin DIL (dual in-line), 1 x 1 inch, 1.5 x 1.5 inches and 2 x 2 inches - and custom packages can be specified.
