Range-Gated Active Imager Identifies at 10km Distance
Extreme CCTV announces that the ARGC-2400 Advanced Long Range Active-Imager, flagship product strategic partner Obzerv Technologies, has been successfully integrated with a radar detection system for a maritime security project at a critical waterway in Asia. The active-imager/radar combination enables defense and homeland security end-users to positively identify threats sooner than any other system. The ARGC-2400 is a range-gated active-imaging system that provides high-resolution long-range night vision through airborne obscurities such as rain, snow and fog. The ARGC-2400 reads license plates at 1.5km, recognizes human beings at 5km, classifies vehicles at 10km and pinpoints people in search and rescue at distances greater than 10km. The GPS-equipped ARGC-2400 also functions as a high-power 240x telescope, allowing definitive video interrogation of suspicious activities from long range.
