RF Technologies® Introduces Redesigned Nurse and Emergency Call Stations

Low-profile design blends into communities and provides visual confirmation a call was placed

BROOKFIELD, Wis. -- RF Technologies(®), a leading provider of radio frequency identification (RFID) healthcare safety and security solutions, has released a newly designed line of nurse and emergency call stations that blend into a community's environment.

The call stations are key components of the Code Alert(®) Quick Response Plus Wireless Call Solution, which includes a variety of call options to enable residents to call for assistance from anywhere in the community. When a resident places a call, caregivers can receive call alerts at a central computer station or a variety of mobile devices such as cell phones, pagers and Quick Look(TM) LED displays.

The call stations are available in five models, including a Push Button Call Station, Nurse Call Cord Station, Nurse Call Cord Station with Check-in, Pull Cord Call Station, and a Pull Cord Call Station with Check-in. The check-in features can record non-alarm events, such as resident or staff check-ins, or a time log.

Each model includes an LED that blinks red when the device is activated, giving residents peace of mind their call was placed. The wireless devices mount directly to the wall with just two screws, eliminating the need for a surface mount box and creating a low profile less than one inch deep.

"These new call stations represent our dedication to protecting people while providing discreetly designed products that blend into communities to create a homelike environment," said Sean Daugherty, senior vice president and general manager for RF Technologies.

All call devices must be reset at the device, ensuring every call receives an in-person response. The call stations are fully supervised with continuous reassurance of proper operation and will notify staff if the battery is low.

RF Technologies will demo the new call stations at the upcoming Assisted Living Federation of America (ALFA) trade show in booth 902 on May 7 and 8 in Charlotte, NC.
