Number 1 EMR Honors Go to Practice Fusion for the Second Year Running

Free, web-based EMR is named the top vendor for all primary care specialties in Brown-Wilson's independent survey of over 12,000 US providers

SAN FRANCISCO, - Practice Fusion, the fastest growing Electronic Medical Record (EMR) community in the US, announced at HIMSS in Las Vegas that it has been named the No. 1 EMR vendor for customer satisfaction among primary care specialties for the second year running. In the annual client experience survey conducted by Black Book Rankings, Practice Fusion's free EMR took the top award in all four practice categories - General Practice, Family Practice, Geriatrics and Pediatrics - beating out long-standing vendors Greenway, Allscripts and athenahealth.

The web-based EMR earned 9 of the 18 No. 1 spots on general criteria of quality, including innovation, reliability, data security and trust, more than any other single vendor. Practice Fusion also received six second place ratings and was in the top five in the remaining award categories. Top honors included:

"Saving lives and improving care shouldn't cost physicians money," said Ryan Howard, CEO of Practice Fusion. "We love that doctors and nurses across the US are embracing our sleek and reliable technology to improve the efficiency of running a small medical practice. Our dedication to superior service and constant improvements to our product has created the most satisfied medical community in the US."

Brown-Wilson surveyed over 12,000 current EMR users to determine the rankings, which are based on customer satisfaction with the product. Practice Fusion made its ranking debut in 2011 with top spots in three of the four Brown-Wilson primary care categories, only three years after the product's initial launch. This year, the free EMR received number one rankings in all four categories and was also recently awarded No. 1 honors for e-prescribing client satisfaction and keeping doctors on track to achieve Meaningful Use.

Practice Fusion's EMR community has grown to over 150,000 medical professionals in less than three years by providing free scheduling, charting, e-prescribing, lab integrations and referral letters for providers in small to medium-sized practices, while helping eligible physicians earn millions in Meaningful Use incentives.

The Top Primary Care Ambulatory EMR Software Vendors Buyers Report (a $799 value) and State of the ePrescribing Industry report (a $500 value) are available for free through Practice Fusion.
