RS VENICE, well established with major broadcasters in the U.S. is now coupled with NTC's Rialto, providing seamless integration into any file-based feature film or television production environment. RS VENICE and Rialto offer continuous optimization of efficiency in workflows – in a single system.
Columbia, MD – National TeleConsultants (NTC) has taken R&S VENICE's flexible architecture to the next level by creating a customizable interface for automation systems. This customizable interface simplifies the orchestration of complex video pipelines. The challenges of job management, prioritization, dependency tracking and multi-port control are addressed in a single, simple interface. The simple interface allows R&S VENICE to seamlessly connect with existing stage management software and filebased media workflow managers. Productions now have an efficient way to capture a large amount of video and metadata. Using R&S VENICE with the Avid® Workflow option and NTC Rialto, media and metadata are transferred faster than real-time into the central Avid® ISIS storage environment for editorial. Rialto automates the steps associated with capture, transfer and post record metadata insertion. This allows easy definition of custom workflows, expansion of metadata fields and the addition of annotations from the director and crew on location to be utilized in the production process.

Rialto exposes R&S VENICE's simple but powerful FIMS web services interface, allowing a variety of components to easily select and utilize any number of channels from any number of VENICE servers for ingest. This is done using faster than real-time transcoding and cross vendor platform copy operations to meet the fast paced and demanding world of onset feature film and television production.
