nTAG System Supports Conference on Department of Homeland Security Research Initiatives

National Defense Industrial Association Uses Real-time Event Data Management Solution to Successfully Enhance Learning and Drive Networking

BOSTON, August 1 / -- nTAG Interactive, the premier provider of real-time event data management (EDM) solutions, today announced that the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA) used its interactive badge system to enhance learning and drive networking at the 2007 Homeland Security Science & Technology Stakeholders Conference. Held recently at the Ronald Reagan Center in Washington, D.C., the conference is attended by leaders of the private sector, academia and government, informing all of the direction, emphasis and scope of research investments of the Science and Technology Directorate of the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

Placing the nTAG interactive badge on DHS Secretary Michael Chertoff at the start of his keynote address, DHS Under Secretary Jay Cohen said: "This is a good way to communicate, to do surveys, to see what our stakeholders think, what their top priorities are and how they can help." The nTAG solution was used to serve some 650 of the nearly 1,000 attendees throughout general and break-out sessions and at networking functions. Audience response and surveys were conducted in real-time with nTAG, creating better connections between speakers and attendees. nTAG also provided personalized agendas, listing sessions of interest to the individual attendee, schedules, locations, and topic abstracts. nTAG's messaging feature allowed event coordinators to easily and immediately announce agenda changes and provided event sponsors with targeted promotional tools.

To encourage networking and personal interaction, the nTAGs enabled attendees to exchange electronic business card information with the click of a button, with detailed information later accessible via a secure, personalized web page. nTAG's data collection and reporting capabilities provided event coordinators and sponsors with critical metrics for evaluating ROI and ways to improve future events.

"Having nTAG praised by those associated with the Science and Technology Directorate of DHS is very gratifying," said David Goretski, CEO, nTAG. "This organization quite often introduces the future and to find our technology utilized and appreciated by these visionaries is strong validation of the value of nTAG."
