NSK Precision America Offers New Series of Ultra-low Profile Roller Guides
Series is designed to meet the rigorous demands of the machine tool industry
Franklin, Indiana, March 6, 2009- NSK recently introduced the RB series of ultra-low profile roller guides. Compared with NSK's conventional RA series roller guides, the series offers a 26% reduction in overall height. This facilitates downscaling of equipment and lowering the center of gravity of precision/positioning tables.
High capacity and high rigidity have been achieved by optimizing the rolling contact conditions, which is a result of configuring the internal dimensions so as to accommodate slider deformation (patent pending). As a result, the downscaling of equipment is achievable without sacrificing load capacity or high rigidity.
Additionally, NSK's highly regarded K1(TM) Lubrication Units are available to ensure long term, maintenance free operation.
NSK offers the RB series in five preloaded sizes ranging from RB30 to RB65. 23 slide model types are available.
