NP3775 Bipolar Stepper Motor Drive IC & NP7380 Phase Distribution IC
Nippon Pulse America, Inc., Radford, VA - (May 16, 2007) Nippon Pulse America introduces a bipolar chopper driver chip, NP3775, and a state logic chip (phase distribution chip), NP7380, for use with their tin-can rotary and linear stepper motors.
Nippon Pulse America provides motors, electronics, and engineering support for a complete stepper motor drive system.
Features:
o Dual Bipolar chopper drive IC to drive a 2 phase stepper motor
o Full or half step operation - Max output current is 750mA
o Digital filter on chip eliminates external filtering components
o Designed to drive two-phase bipolar stepper motors
o Connects directly to the CPU - chips include a clock oscillator, as well as comparators and flip-flops for switching control
o NP3775D2, DIP package (22-pin) and NP3775E3, EMP package (24-pin) offered for both small quantity and mass productions
o NP7380 state logic chip is a 14-pin EMP package
o RoHS Compliant
The NP3775 driver chip connects to a CPU that has four general outputs. It also connects to a CPU through the NP7380 state logic chip (phase distribution chip) which decreases the burden on the CPU.
The NP3775 driver chip is available in two package sizes, 24-pin EMP (NP3775D2) for mass production, and 22-pin DIP (NP3775E3) for prototyping and small runs. The NP7380 state logic chip is a 14-pin EMP package.
