The ThinkPad® G40 notebooks for education offer a powerful desktop computer alternative with the personality of a ThinkPad notebook. Starting at a weight9 of 3.5 kg (7.6 lb) for models with a 358.1-mm (14.1-in) display up to 3.6 kg (7.9 lb) for models with a 381.0-mm (15.0-in) display including battery, these easy-to-use notebooks are ideal for processor-intensive applications with the mobility to allow productivity on the go.

These models are available only to public or private K-12, or higher, accredited schools organized and operated exclusively for educational purposes for use by qualified students and teachers.

The ThinkPad G40 notebook models for education are for sale direct from IBM or through an Authorized Education Reseller. They are not available for resale to any other organization or individual.
