Dolch Introduces World's First Ruggedized Notebook with Integrated Printer

Revolutionary NotePAC features color printing without cables or a power cord

Fremont, California, February 6, 2002 - The NotePAC(TM) industrial notebook computer is now available with an integrated full-color printer. The rugged all-metal enclosure protects the inkjet printer from physical trauma, and maintains the portability of the entire system. One handle, one bag; maximum
performance and ruggedness.

Designed for the user that needs hard-copy on the move, but who also needs a robust and reliable solution, the printer assembly is attached to the NotePAC via a machined interface plate and high tensile screws to form a single portable unit. Maintaining much of the NotePAC's inherent ruggedness, the printer assembly is manufactured in high strength steel and is powder coated for durable good looks.

"Dolch has built its reputation by introducing rugged industrial portable computing technology to the marketplace faster than anyone else," commented Jim Ciardella, President. "Our industry firsts in portable industrial computing are a big part of the Dolch Difference. Integrating a color printer in a protective
enclosure and making it so convenient that our customers don't need cables or power cords, is what the marketplace expects from Dolch."

The NotePAC with printer option is ideal for law-enforcement, emergency services, the military, public utilities workers or anyone who needs a portable printing solution that's built to last. Used as a mobile data terminal in a police vehicle, the NotePAC with printer can produce a color image while at a crime
scene. A fire crew could print out floor plans of a burning building, to aid in search and recovery, and a service engineer who is desperate for a circuit drawing can now refer to a color printout and finish the job then and there.

Battery powered for the ultimate in convenience, the NotePAC printer will print on everything from envelopes to photo quality paper. Using readily available consumables for maximum convenience, the NotePAC with printer will find a dedicated following among mobile users operating in harsh rugged environments.
