Norway's All-New Rygge Airport to Open with ARINC's Passenger Technology in 2008

Annapolis, Maryland, USA, November 19, 2006-ARINC Incorporated today announced it has received the contract to provide common-use passenger check-ins and airline network connections for Norway's new regional airport, Moss Airport Rygge.

Strategically located south of the capital city of Oslo, Moss Airport Rygge is designed as a hub for regional European travel. The passenger volume is expected to be substantial when Norwegian Airlines launches shuttle flights to 13 international and domestic destinations in February 2008.

ARINC will provide its industry-leading iMUSETM common-use check-in and boarding system, which provides easy electronic check-ins for the passengers of all participating airlines. Airlines will also have economical and efficient connections to their host computers anywhere in the world through a shared ARINC AviNetTM MQ service. AviNet MQ accommodates the needs of airlines with older legacy network technology as well as those carriers with more modern IP connectivity.

"ARINC is extremely pleased to be awarded this important work by Rygge Sivile Lufthavn AS," stated Chris Forrest, Senior Director, Integrated Travel Solutions, ARINC EMEA. "RSL becomes ARINC's first airport customer in Norway, and it is sure to become a busy regional hub. By implementing the latest ARINC technology, RSL will ensure its customers are processed efficiently-a goal every airport shares."

"ARINC's reputation is well-known and their competitive proposal fit our requirements very well," stated Eivind Nappen, IT Director Rygge Sivile Lufthavn. "We fully expect their technology will provide outstanding service for the passengers coming to Moss Airport Rygge in the next few months. ARINC has also agreed to work closely with our IT department to ensure a successful implementation and handover."

Moss Airport Rygge has a geographical market potential of nearly 2 million people, of which 1 million are within an hour of the airport. The airport will handle domestic and international flights along with charter traffic. It is planned as a regional airport for the county of ~stfold as well as an international airport for low-cost airlines and a secondary airport for Oslo. The plan is to make Moss Airport Rygge one of the most efficient regional airports in Europe in terms of public access, passenger flows and flights.
