NKK Offers Diversified Products for A/V Broadcast Market

Multiple Series Provide Design Flexibility for Engineers

Scottsdale, Ariz. (May 15, 2006) - NKK Switches continues to meet the needs of design engineers in the audio/video broadcast market with an array of switch product solutions intended specifically for this competitive industry.

NKK's HB2 series of subminiature switches features quiet actuation combined with crisp tactile feedback. Full-face illumination with a choice of red/green or red/yellow bicolor LEDs and simultaneous bicolor illumination, which produces amber, are available. Cap size is 7.5mm square and overall height is 17mm.

Adding to engineers' design flexibility, the JB series of low profile, process sealed tactile switches provide a choice of dimensions from the PCB to the top of the cap. Multiple 10mm square cap styles and actuator heights can be configured. LED options are red, green or yellow. Terminal spacing conforms to standard .100" X .100" PCB grids. Dome contacts provide crisp tactile feedback.

NKK's UB series of low profile pushbuttons feature a range of bright and superbright LEDs in multiple colors as well as bicolor options. The combination of PCB mountability and the short body height of merely 10mm allows for use in compact applications. The contact mechanism is snap acting and provides sensitive actuation with audible feedback. Momentary and maintained circuits in single and double pole are offered. Caps are 12mm square or 17mm X 12mm rectangular.

The UB2 series is also low profile but unique in its appearance. The UB2 switches feature a wide selection of illumination effects with single and bicolor, 1 or 6 element LEDs, in flat, sculptured or beveled caps. These 15mm square devices are available in momentary and maintained single pole and double pole circuits.

ADD TWO - NKK Offers diversified products for a/v broadcast

KP01 devices offer silent switch actuation in tactile or non-tactile versions. They are available with bicolor red/green built in LEDs and three square cap sizes of 12mm, 15mm and 17.4mm to meet industry standards. In addition, rectangular and home key styles are included. These switches are designed to be the same height off the PCB board as NKK's IS series of Programmable LCD switches. Available in bicolor red/green and RGB versions, the KP01 series is an aesthetically superior switch device.

The IS series from NKK is a favorite among engineers. This programmable LCD switch offers brilliant and varied backlight illumination including RGB versions. This series encompasses switches as well as the smallest off-the-shelf display modules in the world. NKK supports these devices with development kits, accessories, logic boards and much more.
