Nitrogen Cabinets run continuously and unattended.

Press Release Summary:

Featuring custom design, Nitrogen Cabinets meet stringent requirements for inerting non-contacting, dry running gas seals found in critical service pumps and compressors. Low-pressure nitrogen prevents any possibility of toxic or hazardous process gases leaking into atmosphere. Units can be equipped with dual filtration system, Balston air dryers for dew point suppression of feed air, and local nitrogen boosters to charge high-pressure cylinders on same cabinet skids.

Parker's New Inerting Systems for Mechanical Gas Seals Run Continuously and Unattended While Delivering a Constant Gas Supply

HOUSTON, April 30- May 3, 2007 - A new line of custom-designed nitrogen cabinets from Parker Hannifin meets the stringent requirements for inerting non-contacting, dry running gas seals commonly found in critical service pumps and compressors. The low-pressure nitrogen supplied to the compressor seals prevents any possibility of any toxic or hazardous process gases leaking into the atmosphere.

The cabinet systems are designed to run continuously and unattended, delivering a reliable, constant supply of inert gas to the dry gas seals. The units can be equipped with a dual filtration system to allow filter maintenance to be performed while the generator is still operational.

Parker Hannifin nitrogen membrane generators feature Parker's proprietary HiFluxx hollow fiber membranes that are the highest productivity membranes in the world. As a result, the Parker Dry Gas Seal unit is available in a compact cabinet design, and customer interface connections are standard to facilitate layout and design of the compression system supplied by others. The system operates at low pressure, so the feed air supply can be plant or instrument air. The cabinets can be equipped with Parker Balston air dryers, assuring sufficient dew point suppression of the feed air for years of trouble-free, stable performance of the Parker HiFluxx membranes.

Additionally, these systems can be equipped with local nitrogen boosters to charge high-pressure cylinders on the same cabinet skids, assuring a back-up supply of nitrogen at all times and peace of mind for the operators. For very high purity nitrogen requirements, Parker Hannifin provides their DB Series Pressure Swing Adsorption nitrogen systems with the same dual filtration and high-pressure back-up as needed.
