NiteWayâ„¢ LED Lights the Night in Patient Rooms
Night lighting represents a key element of a patient room by providing circulation illumination and orientation keys that help keep patients and staff safe. Recognizing this, the product development team at Hubbell Healthcare Solutions developed the new NiteWay solution to be simple in every way while delivering on all the key requirements.
The simple aesthetics of the NiteWay design allows it to blend into any room decor while reducing its projection from the wall to just over three quarters of an inch. There are no visible fasteners to distract from its clean appearance and surface transitions have a gentle radius to simplify routine cleaning.
NiteWay provides low-level illumination at the floor plane while minimizing glare that might impact the vision of the patient. The optical design not only reduces lens brightness, but also eliminates flashes of light at lens transitions. An optional integrated photocontrol is available to ensure night lighting is available when it is needed.
In the same manner of a switch, NiteWay can be installed in a single-gang electrical box in either a horizontal or vertical orientation. Securing the back plate is simple since no wires are attached to the face-plate. Tamper-resistant screws are supplied if additional security is desired, and an adjustable thru-wall box allows NiteWay mounting on both faces of a wall from a single electrical feed. It is rated for Wet Location applications, further expanding its use opportunities.
There are a variety of options to help match NiteWay for the application. It is available in either a vertical or horizontal orientation with. Finish options include white, aluminum or black – all with an antimicrobial paint.
The aesthetics and performance of NiteWay make it a viable option for applications beyond healthcare such as hospitality, theaters and residential.
