Nigeria LNG Ltd. Renews Maintenance Services Contract with Baker/OTS Nigeria, Ltd.

HOUSTON, Jan. 30 -- Baker Energy, a unit of the Michael Baker Corporation (AMEX:BKR), announced today that Nigeria LNG Ltd. has renewed a three-year, $5.8 million-per-year, Maintenance Services Contract with its Nigerian affiliate, Baker/OTS Nigeria, Ltd. (Baker/OTSN).

Under the contract renewal, which includes an option for a two-year extension, Baker/OTSN will provide a wide variety of operations, maintenance and support activities for the Liquefied Natural Gas Complex located at Bonny Island, Rivers State, Nigeria. Services include planned maintenance; project engineering and shutdown services; and the provision of management and administrative personnel and facilities for site operations, logistical, technical and materials/equipment support.

"The opportunity undoubtedly is one of our most challenging ventures to date, but it is also the single largest opportunity for Baker/OTSN to validate its position as a market leader in the execution of operations and maintenance services contracts. It will be a total metamorphosis from simply providing human resources to taking part in planning and management activities. This further solidifies our reputation as a true partner with our clients in meeting their strategic objectives," said Richmond Leeb, managing director, Baker/OTS Nigeria, Ltd.
