Nickel Alloys handle harsh chemical plant conditions.

Press Release Summary:

Bare wire and covered electrode versions of Arcos 59 are designed for welding in corrosive environments of chemical processing facilities. With corrosion resistance, mechanical strength, and thermal stability, Arcos 59 (ERNiCrMo-13) bare wire is nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with extra low carbon and silicon contents and no tungsten to prevent grain-boundary precipitation during hot forming and welding. Covered Arcos 59 electrode (ENiCrMo-13) is chloride ions resistant in low pH media.

Arcos High Nickel Alloys Handle Harsh Chemical Plant Conditions

Mount Carmel, PA ---Arcos Industries, LLC has introduced the bare wire and covered electrode versions of Arcos 59, which are primarily designed for welding in the corrosive environments of chemical processing facilities.

Arcos 59 (ERNiCrMo-13) bare wire is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with extra low carbon and silicon contents and no tungsten to prevent grain-boundary precipitation during hot forming and welding. It offers excellent corrosion resistance, high mechanical strength and increased thermal stability.

Due to its chemical composition, the covered Arcos 59 electrode (ENiCrMo-13) is resistant to attack by chloride ions in low PH media. As with the bare wire, this covered product features outstanding weldability and very low sensitivity to hot cracking.
