Nichrome Sealing Wire Teflon® Coated to Prevent Sticking



A new line of nichrome resistance wire that is coated with DuPont Teflon® to create a non-stick surface for use at high temperatures is being introduced by Applied Plastics Co., Inc. of Norwood, Massachusetts.

APC Teflon® Coated Nichrome Wire provides a non-stick surface in a variety of plastics and packaging processing applications and is capable of 500°F continuous and 600°F intermittent use. Supplied on spools from stock in standard 0.018", 0.020" and 0.036" sizes; other sizes upon request.

Suitable for use in a wide range of packaging, sealing, shrink wrapping, plastic sheet and styrofoam cutting, and acrylics bending equipment, APC Teflon® Coated Nichrome Wire will outlast plain nichrome resistance wire and prevent melted plastic from building, claims the firm.
