NewSoft's Presto! WMS Wins Innovations 2006 Design and Engineering Showcase Honoree Award

SAN FRANCISCO, CA (November 16, 2005) - NewSoft America, a leading provider of business and consumer image, video, DVD, and WLAN software, today announced the new Presto! WMS (Wireless Multimedia System) has been named an Honoree in the CEA 2005 Innovations Award Competition. Designed to showcase the most innovative products in the industry, CEA will give all of this year's winners center stage at the 2006 Consumer Electronics Show at the Sands Expo and Convention Center in Las Vegas, NV, January 5th-8th (booth #72444).
The first solution in the company's newest line of wireless home/office solutions, Presto! WMS is a wireless broadcast technology that enables enterprise users to share screen-captured images, graphics and image content at 15 frame-per-second in real-time through either Ethernet or WLAN transmission.

The WMS 100 Image receiver implements the latest Wi-Fi 802.11a/b/g technology to provide users with the freedom to broadcast screen-captured images from any Wi-Fi enabled PC or notebook, to multiple VGA /XVGA projectors incorporating hardware Wi-Fi receiver adapters. NewSoft's high performance algorithm detects the differential regions of the screen resulting in the system's ability to present content at 15 frames per second on average for 11a/g. As a result, users can wirelessly share oversized image files, even PowerPoint files with embedded animation, in real-time.
Presto! WMS users can easily search available receiver adapters via the channel scanning method and communication protocol without worrying about wireless parameters and settings. Ideal for school and corporate presentations, NewSoft's Presto! WMS is easy to set-up, enabling users to configure a wireless environment in just a few steps.
Installed on the PC or notebook, multiple adapters can then receive the same transmission content simultaneously. The presenter can then choose to broadcast their content to one or many destinations with a single click. To ensure transmission security, Presto! WMS provides standard WEP encryption/decryption, enabling users to set their own passwords and prevent unauthorized access to the wireless network.
