ESV encourages most customers to install y-strainers as an affordable way to protect their fluid systems by preventing debris and impurities from reaching valves, pumps, meters, and regulators. Without the strainers installed, any contaminants pose a risk of damaging these mechanical pieces of their systems.
The current line of y-strainers from ESV are all manufactured with 304 stainless steel along with PTFE seals, which make them safe for potable water, and industrial food processing applications. They are NPT threaded to prevent leaks and can be safely used up to 800 PSI.
Each wye strainer ships with a reusable filter, but ESV will also be carrying replacement y strainer mesh filters in 50, 80, and 150 mesh stainless steel.
