Original Press Release:

Never Miss Activity at Your Door DMP® Video Doorbell Lets You See, Hear and Speak to Visitors Any Time and from Anywhere

Springfield, MO — April 4, 2019 It’s one of the most-talked about “must-have” new devices — the smart video doorbell — and DMP’s new V-4060DB Video Doorbell is a particularly wise choice.

Released last month, the new Video Doorbell allows you to see, hear, and speak to visitors at your door, all with the same Virtual Keypad™ app, which also controls your security and home automation systems. In fact, while watching in Live view from the app’s doorbell tab, you can arm or disarm your system, lock or unlock doors, and trigger one or several Z-Wave® devices through the app’s Favorites.

For instance, when you receive a push notification of motion at your door, and you see it’s someone you don’t recognize, you can trigger a Favorite to turn on the porch light and lock the door, as well as arm your system, all while monitoring what’s happening with 1080P precise clarity, 180-degree field of view, and Pinch-toZoom technology for a closer look.

On the other hand, if it’s someone you’re expecting, you can disarm the system, unlock your door, and invite them in. Without opening the app, you’ll also be able to see at a glance who’s at your door. Push notifications of motion at your door also include thumbnails of a snapshot taken from the doorbell. Those snapshots will be stored in the Cloud and available to you in your Virtual Keypad app’s History for 30 days. From the app, you can also share these thumbnails as full-size 1280 x 720 pixel snapshots with other apps, such as your e-mail, or save them to your smartphone.

But DMP isn’t finished. Just since last month’s release, DMP’s design engineers continue adding new features. “We want to provide our customers with the most robust feature set for added security and convenience,” says Jon Adams, director of Business Development with SecureCom Wireless™. “In addition to these features, we’ve got a roadmap for more exciting enhancements.”

According to market research by Parks Associates, 25 percent of U.S. households with broadband plan to buy a smart video doorbell in 2019 — a massive jump from just 8 percent one year earlier. “By adding the new Video Doorbell to DMP residential security system installations, Adams says, “Dealers will be giving customers the security they want and the DMP quality they need for a complete security solution inside and out.”
