The PLR0521U TVS Array Provides Circuit Protection Against ESD and EFT for Gigabit Ethernet, USB, HDMI and More
TEMPE, ARIZ. (PRWEB) AUGUST 27, 2018 - ProTek Devices today introduced an ultra-low-capacitance transient voltage suppressor array (TVS array) for circuit protection in popular data interface connections such as Gigabit Ethernet, FireWire, USB 2.0 and 3.0, and HDMI 1.4 and 2.0. The very low capacitance for the new PLR0521U TVS array is 0.8 pF max (typical).
The PLR0521U protects these interfaces from the damaging effects of electrostatic discharge (ESD) and electrical fast transients (EFT). It meets or exceeds several IEC standards. The standards are 61000-4-2 (ESD): air ±15kV, contact ±8kV; 61000-4-4 (EFT); and 61000-4-5 (surge): 4A, 80W, 8/20 micro seconds. The TVS array also boasts a low clamping voltage and protects one unidirectional line. Peak pulse power is 80 watts (typical at 8/20 micro seconds). The rated standoff voltage is 5.0. It is also RoHS and REACH compliant.
