Orbital Wrappers Feature New, Touch-Screen Controls

Reading, PA: TAB Wrapper Tornado orbital wrapping systems from packaging machinery manufacturer TAB Industries, LLC, Reading, Pa. (www.tabwrapper.com), feature new, full-color, touch-screen control panels. Offered as optional equipment, the PLC-based touch-screen control panels replace traditional, push-button setup and operation with a state-of-the-art, menu-driven approach incorporating detailed images, schematics and video instruction. From internal testing, the new HMI enables both entry level workers and managers providing temporary support to learn to safely use the orbital wrappers faster and with more confidence than when using the original panel.

Applying technology introduced on the company's fully automated Perfect Storm wrapping systems to the semi-automated models, the intuitive design includes a series of built-in instructional training videos covering setup, safe film roll replacement, and other facets of operation at the control panel for easy access and review as needed. The touchscreen control panel is offered on the three semi-automated TAB Wrapper Tornado models, on optional automated models, and on custom models.

The TAB Wrapper Tornado wraps plastic film 360 degrees around and under a pallet and its load to create a secure, unitized load that resists shifting during delivery, in-plant staging and on racks in storage. The orbital wrappers are designed and manufactured in the company's Reading, Pennsylvania headquarters and delivered with a warranty ready for installation.
