New Technologies: ICS Introduces a New Forensic Mac Acquisition Tool, a New CF Adapter for the IM4000 Product Family and Enhanced Hashing Support for the ImageMASSter Solo-3 Forensic Product

CHATSWORTH, Calif., May 21 / - Intelligent Computer Solutions (ICS) has announced today the release of new features to its hand-held Forensic Data Acquisition unit, the ImageMASSter Solo-3 Forensic. ICS also introduced a new Forensic Mac acquisition tool as well as the release of a new line of CF adapters to enhance the capabilities of the ICS line of Hard Drive duplicators.

ICS has implemented two advanced and important hashing methods (SHA-1, SHA-2) to its ImageMASSter Solo-3 Forensic Hand-held Duplicator. These two new hashing methods are in addition to the MD5 and CRC32 hashing methods already available. These additions enhance the unit's hashing capabilities and overall improved performance. The SHA-1 and SHA-2 hashing functions are considered to be today's standard and are the most advanced hashing methods recognized worldwide by all law enforcement authorities and court systems. With the latest updates, the ICS ImageMASSter Solo-3 Forensic can be easily configured to hash data using any of the following hash formats: CRC32, MD5, SHA-1, or SHA-2.

ICS introduces two new Forensic Mac Acquisition Tools which will seize data from unopened Mac computers. The optional application enables users of ICS' portable hard disk duplicators - the ImageMASSter Solo-3 Forensic and the LinkMASSter - to seize data from a suspect's unopened MAC computer or laptop through USB and FireWire ports. The application applies very advanced hashing methods (CRC32; MD5; SHA-1 and SHA-2) to guarantee a mirror image of the suspect's hard drive in a forensic manner.

ICS also introduces a new line of CF adapters to enhance the capabilities of the ImageMASSter hard drive duplication product line. The new optional Flash Card (CF) - 9 and 5 Channel Adapters adds the capability to mass duplicate flash cards using the ImageMASSter 4000 product family. The 9 and 5 Channel Adapters support 50-pin micro card devices and enable our ImageMASSter 4000 line of duplicators to copy to 8, or 4 flash devices at a time. The 9 and 5 Channel Adapters are designed for generic flash cards and support all flash devices (SD, etc) with appropriate 50-pin device adapters.
