Fillmore Container Expands Stout Bottle Collection with Lug Closure Option
Lancaster, PA – March 12, 2020 – Fillmore Container introduces a new Stout Bottle collection with Lug closure. Stout Bottles are a good container choice for hot-filled dressings, marinades, sauces, fruit syrups and other condiments. The new Stout Bottle collection is available in 8oz., 12oz., and 16oz., sizes. Lug lids, to complete the bottles, are sold separately.
There are the two primary types of containers and closures currently used in food packaging, CT & Lug. Lug is a closure system where the container has multiple threads and the lid has an equal number of lugs or tabs that grip the corresponding threads; also known as "twist-off" closures.
In addition to the new lug style Stout Bottles, Fillmore Container also has a full line of CT style Stout Bottles. Continuous-thread (CT) is the Mason-style closure mechanism where the jar and lid are both threaded in one continuous bead around the entire circumference of the opening; also referred to as "screw-on". CT lids, to complete the bottles, are sold separately.
