Stepping Up Stair Design with New Products from L.J. Smith® Stair Systems

Two new products from L.J. Smith® Stair Systems allow building industry professionals to turn the stairway into a stunning focal point in the home. Homeowners can choose from Reversible Stair Risers or Decorative Stair Brackets. Both add “interior curb appeal” to a house.

Bowerston, Ohio (PRWeb) April 21, 2021 -- Homeowners working with builders or remodelers can gain more ‘interior curb appeal’ by stepping up the design of their stairways. Two new products from L.J. Smith® Stair Systems can turn the stairway into a stunning focal point in the home.

New Reversible Stair Risers feature a shiplap design on one side and a beaded planking design on the other, making it easy for building industry professionals to create an entirely new look for a stair system. Made of Primed Poplar, the Reversible Stair Risers are mitered to the stringer and come in various lengths. Installed during the construction of a new stairway, the risers can be painted an accent or complementary color.

Two new additions to the L.J. Smith Decorative Stair Brackets product line offer a way for contractors and builders to add a ‘wow factor’ to a stairway. Designed for installation below stair tread returns or on stair risers, the new on-trend stair brackets come in two unique designs.

Homeowners can select from a sleek, straight Mission-style Craftsman bracket or choose a softly-curved Modern shape. Each wooden bracket comes in left- and right-hand configurations. Available in Red Oak for staining and Birch for painting, the decorative brackets can be installed by professionals in a variety of ways on a stairway.

“Homeowners will love how the brackets add a personalized, focal point aspect to their stairway and complement their home’s overall style,” says Craig Kurtz, president of L.J. Smith Stair Systems. “A wonderful way to extend the design appeal of the brackets is to have them added in other areas of the home … such as to accent cabinetry, a mantel or interior hallway openings.”

Kurtz encourages homeowners to contact their building industry professionals to discuss stand-out elements for stairways.

“There really is such a thing as ‘interior curb appeal,” says Kurtz. “Homeowners who consult with their builders and remodelers about taking extra steps to add unique, unexpected touches to their homes make them more special. The versatile designs of the Reversible Stair Risers and the Decorative Stair Brackets allow people to select the option that best fits their overall vision for their home’s design.”
