D&P Custom Lights & Wiring Systems, Inc. Offers No-contact Self-sanitizing Thermal Kiosks

Nashville, TN, USA – D&P Custom Lights & Wiring Systems, Inc., one of the world’s leading commercial lighting and fixtures design and fabrication firms, is now offering Self-Sanitizing Thermal Kiosks to help organizations easily and quickly scan employees to register attendance and check temperatures with no contact in real time. According to Bob-O Smith, President of D&P, “With the Covid-19 pandemic expected to continue, and flu season just around the corner, this product was developed to help businesses put into place new safety measures to keep the workplace and their employees and visitors safe.” The kiosk has a built-in 360-degree ultraviolet lamp which continually disinfects and kills pathogens on the unit itself. Temperature checks are accurate within +/- 0.05 degrees Fahrenheit, and facial recognition occurs almost instantaneously, even with masks or glasses. Built-in speakers can provide audio warnings for abnormal temperature readings (alerts can be custom programmed to be turned off at the kiosk and only appear at a monitoring station).

Once employee information has been entered into the back-stage management system, the kiosk can even process multiple people simultaneously. With the intelligent facial recognition feature activated, doors can open automatically for approved personnel, providing another no-contact safety option.

The thermal kiosk has a capacity to store 20,000 facial data in a secure database; data can be stored in the cloud, via LAN or on a single computer. The system supports Wi-Fi, 100M, Gigabit Ethernet, and full Netcom traffic networks. Connectivity can be customized to varying degrees according to our customers' needs.

Neil Aportadera, Vice President of Sales & Marketing at D&P, says, “We take the health and safety of our employees very seriously, and are excited about offering this system to other companies who need a safe, no-contact way to screen their employees and visitors. In addition to this system, we also offer Digital Hand Sanitizer Dispensers that can be placed at entrances and exits, as well as throughout a manufacturing facility or office building.”
