Rockler Introduces New Router Table Dust Bucket With Included Dust Collection Dual Port

Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has introduced a second-generation Router Table Dust Bucket that builds on the success of the original in capturing the majority of dust and debris created when using a router table.

Medina, Minn. (PRWeb) December 12, 2019 -- Rockler Woodworking and Hardware has introduced a second-generation Router Table Dust Bucket that builds on the success of the original in capturing the majority of dust and debris created when using a router table.

Like its predecessor, the new Dust Right Router Table Dust Bucket (https://www.rockler.com/dust-right-router-table-dust-bucket-with-dual-port) is made from heavy-duty steel and has enough interior space to accommodate larger routers and router lifts. It mounts to the underside of a full-size router table to surround the router – a hinged front door with a magnetic catch provides access – and works with the table fence dust port and a 4" dust collection system to extract dust as it's created.

But the new Dust Bucket sets itself apart with a durable blue powder-coat finish, more mounting options, better vibration dampening and a redesigned dual dust port that is included in the box rather than sold separately as an accessory.

"The original Dust Bucket was very effective at capturing dust at the router table, so we didn't want to try to fix something that wasn't broken," said Steve Krohmer, Rockler's vice president of product development. "But we were able to refine parts of the product to make it easier to install and a better value."

The new mounting flexibility is a result of brackets that can be installed on the sides of the Dust Bucket or on the front and back, depending on the particular situation. New self-adhesive rubber pads attach to the tops of the mounting brackets to dampen vibration and reduce noise. And the dual dust port, which includes a port for a hose running to the router table fence, has been redesigned to mount directly to the Dust Bucket, rather than to another port. As a result, it protrudes less and can be mounted to the side or back of the Dust Bucket. An adjustable air vent, which provides control of the suction, mounts in the other opening. The dual port also fits the Dust Right 4" Quick Change Handle (sold separately), which allows dust collection to be moved from tool to tool.
