Composite-Coupled Inductors Built on IHLP® Technology for SEPIC DC/DC Converters and Common Mode Applications
Vishay is introducing the first devices in a new series of composite-coupled inductors, built on the company's IHLP® technology, for use in SEPIC DC/DC converters and other applications. The Vishay Dale IHCL inductors feature magnetic coupling > 90 %, high-temperature performance to +155 °C, and are available in eight inductance values ranging from 2.2 µH to 47 µH. With a frequency range up to 5.0 MHz, the IHCL inductors are optimized for SEPIC converter circuits in automotive LED lighting. Integrating two inductors in one compact 10.16 mm by 10.67 mm (4040) package with a low 4.0 mm profile, the IHCL devices allow engineers to design more compact, robust, and efficient SEPIC converter circuits while lowering overall costs.
Asymmetric Dual TrenchFET® Gen IV MOSFET in Compact PowerPAIR® 3 mm by 3 mm Package
A new 30 V asymmetric dual TrenchFET® power MOSFET in the PowerPAIR® 3 mm by 3 mm package, the SiZ340DT provides 57 % lower on-resistance, up to 25 % higher power density, and 5 % higher efficiency than previous-generation devices in this package size. The Vishay Siliconix SiZ340DT also helps to save space and simplify the design of highly efficient synchronous buck converters by combining a high-side and low-side MOSFET in one compact package. Applications include cloud computing infrastructures, servers, telecommunication equipment, and various client-side electronic devices and mobile computing applications.
45 V and 50 V TMBS® Rectifiers in DO-221BC (SMPA) Package With Low 0.95 mm Profile
Vishay is expanding its offering of TMBS® Trench MOS Barrier Schottky rectifiers with seven new 45 V and 50 V devices. For automotive and commercial applications, the high current density rectifiers offer current ratings from 3 A to 8 A and low forward voltage drop in the low-profile, surface-mount DO-221BC (SMPA) package. With their low forward voltage drop down to 0.37 V at 3 A and profile of only 0.95 mm, the rectifiers reduce power loss and improve efficiency in low-voltage, high-frequency DC/DC converters, switching power supplies, freewheeling diodes, and polarity protection.
MCB WCR Water-Cooled Power Resistor
Offering very high power dissipation up to 2500 W at 60 °C water inlet temperature and tolerant of high pulses up to 5000 W for 10 s, the WCR is optimized as a snubber and DC grading resistor for large drives and HVDC/SVC.

4 A Synchronous Buck Regulator Offers Switching Frequencies to 1.5 MHz and 95 % Efficiency
Vishay is expanding its microBUCK® family of integrated synchronous buck regulators with a new 4 A device offering high programmable switching frequencies of up to 1.5 MHz and a wide input voltage range of 4.5 to 15 V. The Vishay Siliconix SiP12109 features integrated high- and low-side power MOSFETs in the space-saving 3 mm by 3 mm QFN-16 package, providing designers with a complete high-current solution in only 180 mm². The high switching frequencies of the SiP12109 enable a compact design with minimal components, making the device ideal for point of load regulation and 5 V and 12 V rails in a wide range of space-constrained computing, consumer electronics, telecom, and industrial applications. Typical end products will include network processors, DSPs, FPGAs, ASICs, high-density storage cards, TVs, set-top boxes, distributed power systems, servers, and more.
5 W Axial Silicone Cemented, Fusible Wirewound Safety Resistor for Energy Meters, Home Appliances, and Power Supplies
The Vishay Draloric AC05..CS 5 W axial silicone cemented, fusible wirewound safety resistor is the industry's first such device designed to ensure safe and silent fusing operation during overload conditions while offering surge voltage withstanding capability up to 6 kV (1.2 µs/50 µs). For electric appliances, energy meters, and power supplies, the Vishay Draloric AC05..CS combines a fusing time of < 45 s for a 100 W overload with a special non-flammable silicone cement coating for immediate interruption without flame and explosion when AC mains voltage (230 VAC) is applied. The device's specially developed non-flammable silicone cement lacquer coating allows designers to meet safety requirements more easily while eliminating the need to utilize additional fuses in series with the input resistor.
High-Density Metallized Polypropylene Film Capacitor for DC-Link Applications
The MKP1848C is a new high-density metallized polypropylene film capacitor for DC-link applications that combines the industry's broadest capacitance range of 1 µF to 500 µF with compact footprints down to 9 mm by 32 mm by 19 mm and voltage ratings of 500 V, 600 V, 800 V, 900 V, 1,000 V, and 1,200 V. With its high capacitance per volume and a very long life of > 100,000 hours at nominal DC voltage and + 70 °C, the economical MKP1848C is optimized for renewable energy applications, including solar and wind inverters; frequency converters; industrial motor drives; power supplies; UPS systems; and battery chargers.
