New Products from igus at IMTS


EAST PROVIDENCE, R.I. - July 17, 2008- igus® will primarily be promoting its Energy Chain® cable carriers at booth #D-4691 during this year's IMTS show under the slogan 'Longer Life at Lower Cost'. The cable carriers are designed to house, protect and extend the service life of moving cables and hoses attached to automated machinery.

Some of the products that will be under the spotlight include the company's cost effective, fully enclosed E2/000 cable carrier range; time-saving E-Z Chains which boast ultra fast cable access via a split crossbar; and igus' quiet, low vibration System E6 cable carriers that have been tested over more than 220 million cycle strokes to date.

Brand new products on display will include System P4 Energy Chains-for very long travels up to 0.5 miles and speeds up to 22 miles per hour-and the company's System E4 XXL material, which allows for a 25 percent increase in unsupported span. Visitors will also be able to see a link of the company's huge new Series E4.350 cable carrier. Currently the largest Energy Chain in the world, it is ideal for demanding applications on heavy duty machinery where thick, heavy and rigid cables need to be guided efficiently.

Other products will include examples of igus' fully harnessed 'ReadyChain' cable carriers-the pre-assembly service is designed to save customers assembly time on-site-and Chainflex® continuous-flex cables for long life in moving applications.
