DeltaTrak Featuring New 2-in-1 Real-time In-Transit Loggers at The Fruit Logistica 2020

Pleasanton, Calif., February 5, 2020 -- DeltaTrak® is showcasing its new FlashLink RTL Prime 2G and 3G In-Transit loggers at Fruit Logistica 2020, Hall 23, Stand A-12, from February 5 - 7, 2020, at the Berlin ExpoCenter City, Berlin, Germany.

DeltaTrak President and CEO, Frederick Wu is expecting an excellent response to the new products. “Not only do both devices offer the benefits of a 2-in-1 logger with real-time reporting and a PDF backup report when cellular service is unavailable, each also includes longer battery shelf-life of 12 months and can be switched to flight mode during use on aircraft.” says Mr. Wu. He believes the RTL devices will be especially well-received because users can access trip data via a smartphone (or any smart device) or the built-in USB connector. Once accessed on a smart device, the PDF report can be shared to email, text message or other communication application.

Real-Time loggers are unique in that they provide shippers and/or receivers early notification of arriving cargo. When used on an ocean container, the device will ping coastal cell towers as the vessel approaches port. With this alert, owners can request that port personnel begin preparations for the container’s impending arrival.

The light sensor, which offers an extra layer of security during shipping can help decision-makers determine if a shipment was accessed solely for the purpose of inspection, or if the product was compromised. This, along with features such as 60-day trip duration, one-button activation and a highly visible shipping card, make the new RTL Prime loggers all-in-one solutions with mass appeal.

Ideal for monitoring location and temperature during the transport of produce and floral products, the RTL Prime 2G and 3G loggers boast customizable high and low alarm settings. The 24 hour cloud service allows real-time tracking of perishable temperature sensitive shipments, whether on trucks or overseas containers. Data is sent to a secure web account where it is always available even prior to a shipment arriving at the receiving dock. The ability to store data in the cloud gives producers decision-making confidence, HACCP/FSMA compliance and audit protection.

The 3G model enables exporters to track shipments to countries where 2G is unavailable such as Singapore, South Korea, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, Italy and the United Kingdom. The RTL Prime 3G is an all-around excellent choice for anyone shipping to these countries. Even when the RTL travels with a shipment from a 2G to a 3G country, the logger will continue recording and a complete trip report is guaranteed.

The new RTL Prime loggers transmit data using GSM cellular networks, enabling the devices to operate in areas where GPS trackers won’t. The Vodafone SIM offers the best worldwide coverage.
