Metal Powder Transfer and Recovery System Features Mobility Package as Standard
Volkmann PowTReX Rolls to 3D Printer for Easy Installation, Movement
Bristol, PA: The PowTReX metal powder transfer and recovery system from 3D printing equipment manufacturer Volkmann USA, Bristol, PA (https://www.volkmannusa.com), now features a mobility package as standard. Provided as a convenience for easy movement and installation, the mobility package enables 3D printing and other additive manufacturing companies to automate the powder transfer, extraction, and sieving processes at multiple printers without investing in multiple machines. The portable PowTReX system automatically transfers 3D printing powders from a container or supply hopper to the printer, extracts and sieves unused powder after a completed build job to remove oversize particles, and collects the sieved powder for return into the process.
Integrated with the company's pneumatic vacuum transfer technology, the mobile PowTReX unit is set on durable, non-marking, anti-static casters with polypropylene wheels as standard to help prevent static buildup. A removable powder collection hopper that stages sieved powders for return to storage or to the additive manufacturing process also comes set on a choice of casters for easy access and installation flexibility.
The PowTReX system is explosion-proof by design and earned the ATEX certification as suitable for use in hazardous environments in both inert and non-inert conditions. The powder recovery system may be customized to suit virtually any additive manufacturing installation.
