New Omnicell Analytics and Central Pharmacy Offerings Showcased at Annual ASHP Midyear Meeting

Innovative Solutions Help Simplify Medication Management and Care Coordination from Hospital to Home

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. - Omnicell, Inc. (NASDAQ: OMCL), a leading provider of medication and supply management solutions to health care systems, today announced the release of the new Omnicell Analytics solution to help simplify diversion management across health systems. Omnicell Analytics and central pharmacy inventory management innovations will be highlighted at this year's American Society of Health-System Pharmacists 2015 Midyear Meeting to be held in New Orleans from December 7-10. The Company's breadth of new and expanded solutions for medication management are all fully integrated on the Unity enterprise platform to support Omnicell's commitment to simplify medication management across the care continuum. Several products have recently been enhanced with the release of Omnicell's 20.0 software in November.

In Omnicell's booth #813, highlights include:

--  Omnicell Analytics: A new web-based diversion analytics tool that

streamlines the process of managing potential drug diversion across the

health system. Omnicell Analytics simplifies diversion management,

helping to improve patient care and safety.

--  Central Pharmacy Manager: This perpetual enterprise-wide inventory

management software now works with Omnicell medication carousels to help

reduce complexity, eliminate redundant work and prevent medication

        errors.

--  Microsoft Active Directory: Direct connection to Active Directory(1)

allows users to access Omnicell systems with their hospital domain user

ID and password, simplifying user management across the enterprise.

--  FlexLock 2.0 refrigerator lock and temperature monitor: The newly

designed FlexLock simplifies regulatory compliance by meeting all

Centers for Disease Control (CDC) guidelines on storing refrigerated

vaccines, including accurate calibration within ±0.5°C.

--  SureMed™ by Omnicell medication adherence blister cards go mobile:

Working with SureMed by Omnicell blister cards, Medisafe, a leading

cloud-synced mHealth platform, has created a solution that helps

patients remember to take their medications and keeps a digital record

for themselves, their caregivers, pharmacists and doctors. The unified

mobile experience revolves around the SureMed blister card, conveniently

        filled by the patient's pharmacist.

According to recent research, one in 10 health care providers will abuse drugs at some point.(2) Omnicell Analytics technology was developed to flag potential diverters in the health system in order to mitigate risk to patients. Omnicell Analytics is available to Omnicell customers using the updated Unity platform (20.0 software), and it is designed to integrate directly into the same network as the hospital's existing Omnicell medication management solutions.

Building on existing features, the latest Central Pharmacy Manager now works with Omnicell medication carousels, enabling a streamlined hub and spoke distribution model for health systems. With this technology, hospitals and health systems can customize their inventory world and simplify pharmacist workflow with enhanced safety checkpoints, true multi-client set-up and a prioritized picking queue that highlights the most pressing medication orders. Omnicell's carousel, automated dispensing cabinets, anesthesia workstation, controlled substance management system and new analytics offering all share the same database, which streamlines system administration tasks.

Omnicell's SinglePointe™patient medication management software, which provides a more effective way to manage patient-specific medications, is also enhanced with the 20.0 release. A new interface standardizes the restock process for all items, including compounded IVs and other pharmacy-prepared medications, simplifying pharmacy work and improving accuracy.

"As hospital leaders look for ways to reduce costly readmissions and ensure not only healthy patient outcomes, but simplified provider workflows, we seek to offer solutions that assist in care coordination across the continuum of care from hospital to home," said Joe Lynch, vice president, global markets at Omnicell. "Following our recent recognition by KLAS as the number one Overall Pharmacy Automation Equipment vendor,(3) we're proud to continue supporting our customers with leading medication management solutions that target key issues for health care providers and their patients."

During a cocktail reception, ASHP attendees can also see a demonstration of how Medisafe's mobile digital medication adherence solution is integrated with SureMed by Omnicell blister cards for an improved adherence patient experience. Space is limited and attendees should RSVP here.
