Eurocom Packs 15.6-inch OLED UHD Display, RTX 2070, i9 9980HK in its New Under-2.5 kg Nightsky RX15 Laptop

Eurocom Corporation is proud to announce its newest laptop, the Eurocom Nightsky RX15, a 15.6-inch system with a stunning Retina-type OLED panel from Samsung. The Nightsky RX15 is designed for a variety of users ranging from architects, designers of all kinds, graphics, audio and video professionals, up to gamers who require high-performance, on-the-go computing at under 2.5 kilograms. The laptop comes standard with an NVidia RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6GPU and an Intel i7 9750H (6C/12C) CPU. An optional, special edition of the Nightsky RX15 is available with an Intel i9-9980HK (8C/16T). This thin and lightweight platform weighs under 2.5 kilograms (5.5 lbs), with dimensions of (WxDxH) 359mmx258mmx29.9mm or 14.36in x32in x1.12in. The Eurocom Nightsky RX15 can tackle the most demanding workloads, applications and/or games with relative ease, making it a perfect companion for Eurocom’s over-achieving, yet uncompromising users who desire a system with a stunning OLED UHD display and immense power on-the-go- all housed within a sleek and sophisticated laptop form factor.

OLED VS LCD LED Technology:

The Eurocom Nightsky RX15 is equipped with a vibrant 15.6” Retina-type OLED display. One of the main differences between OLED and LED technology is that LED uses a backlight when illuminating the panel’s pixels. As such, there are issues with light leakage or bleeding on the edges of LED panels, as well as limitations on the different brightness/black colour levels an LED panel can reach. However, with OLED, as each individual pixel is able to illuminate itself- a backlight is no longer needed. In turn, light bleeding is eliminated and there is a considerable improvement in image quality, contrast/brightness levels, wider viewing angles, lighter, thinner and more power efficient than older-generation LCD LED panels.

Another key difference between LED vs OLED panels is screen response times. With OLED, response times and delays are considerably reduced, giving OLED users a considerable advantage in on-screen performance. This can be seen in the 3.5-200 milliseconds of delay in LED screens, while OLED has a mere 0.23 milliseconds of delay. Simply put, OLED is 1500% faster than LED! In terms of viewing angles, OLED is also superior to LED, where there is essentially no blind vision with OLED and users can see from 1 to 180 degrees of wide view.

Finally, since OLED screens have auto-dimming capabilities on a per-pixel level, this technology not only helps improve sharpness and image quality, but also helps greatly in eye comfort, as OLED can adjust brightness automatically and more efficiently to put less strain on users’ eyes, especially when the device is used in the dark.

The laptop comes standard with an NVidia RTX 2070 8GB GDDR6 GPU and an Intel i7 9750H (6C/12C) CPU. An optional, special edition of the Nightsky RX15 is available with an Intel i9-9980HK (8C/16T). It is important to note that Eurocom uses high-quality, high thermal performance copper heatpipes and heatsinks on the CPU and GPU to keep the Nightsky RX15 running cool.

Storage and Memory:

The Nighstky RX15 has 2 x 260-pin SODIMM sockets, allowing pp to 64 GB of total memory. For storage, 3 physical drives: 2x M.2 NVMe SSD + 1x 2.5in HDD/SSD SATA3, offer up to 12 TB of total storage space and is capable of RAID 0/1/5 configurations.

User Upgradeability:

The Nightsky RX15 is built like a racing car- designed to give easy access to internal components. Once the bottom case has been safely opened, users gain the ability to add additional storage, more memory and reconfigure other internal parts, giving the Nighstky RX15 great user-upgradeability and stability into the future.

Connectivity:

For communications, the Nightsky RX15 has 1GbE LAN and M.2 WLAN+ Bluetooth, to provide fast and reliable WLAN/WIFI/LAN connections.

The system is also loaded with ports including: Thunderbolt3 (USB 3.1c), 3x USB 3.0; 1x DP, 1x mini DP; HDMI 2.0 output; 2-in-1 Audio Jack (Headphone + S/PDIF output); Microphone-in; RJ-45 LAN; DC-in. 

Security Options:

The Nighstky RX15 introduces a new fingerprint on-glass scan technology for improved access control. This is combined with a built-in TPM 2.0 hardware- encryption, self-encrypting drives (BIOS Support) and Kensington cable lock for multiple layers security.

Extra Luxury Features:

The Nightsky RX15 has an abundance of added luxury features for improved user experience while maintaining high levels of performance. The luxury features include: Gamma pad, fingerprint on-glass and last but not least- RGB keyboard with per key control.
