Figaro Engineering Product Announcement: NDIR Type Carbon Dioxide Sensor CDM7162

This sensor is the successor to our previous NDIR type carbon dioxide sensor, CDM7160, which had been discontinued due to supply issues.

The CDM7162 CO2 module uses a compact NDIR CO2 sensor, featuring excellent performance characteristics, including high accuracy and low power consumption. Stable long-term operation and output are achieved by combining a single light source dual wavelength system with Figaro’s proprietary signal processing technology. Stringent quality control in the production process including factory calibration also ensure the sensor’s reliability.

Every module is individually calibrated and is provided with both a UART and I2C digital interface. The CDM7162 module is designed for simple integration into a user's products. The module has a compact size with a thickness of only 8mm which makes it fit well in low profile environmental monitors or controllers. We have also widened the operating voltage range to support 3.0V – 5.5V. It can be used in a wide range of applications such as ventilation controls for the improvement of energy savings and to insure a good indoor climate.
