New MikroKera(TM) Line of Chemical Sensors

Longmont, CO - MikroKera(TM): New Low Power Micromachined H2 and VOC Sensors Available

In response to increased demand for gas sensors of all types and requests for low power versions of Synkera sensors, Synkera has introduced the first two products in our new MikroKera(TM) line. Designed for low power, reliability and excellent performance, the new MikroKera(TM) H2 and VOC sensors meet the needs of customers in industrial health and safety, air quality monitoring and process control applications. Both the new MikroKera(TM) and our current ProKera sensors accommodate the complex requirements of instrument and systems manufacturers.

The MikroKera(TM) family of sensors utilizes Synkeras unique micromachined, nanostructured ceramic microsensor platform made from anodic aluminum oxide (AAO). This patented microsensor platform offers an unprecedented combination of performance, reliability and scalability that will ultimately facilitate development of a complete family of sensors for existing and emerging industrial and commercial applications.

The first two sensors use the same sensing materials that have been successfully deployed in our longstanding ProKera(TM) VOC and hydrogen (H2) sensors, while reducing power consumption to ~1/4 that of the ProKera(TM) line, enabling new opportunities in portable and wireless applications. Additional MikroKera(TM) sensors for detection of chlorine (Cl2), ammonia (NH3) and hydrogen sulfide (H2S) will be introduced later this year. Click here for more information on these sensors.
