Delkin Expedites CFexpress Backup with New Reader
Poway, CA, June 18, 2020 - Delkin Devices, a manufacturer of flash storage solutions and camera accessories, announced today the newest addition to their ever-growing line of memory card readers: USB 3.2 CFexpress™ Memory Card Reader. Perfect for on-the-go users, the CFexpress™ reader is specifically designed for those who want to travel light while able to handle the high-performance demands of CFexpress™ Type-B memory cards that are used in the broadcast, cinema, and photography industries.
Incorporating a USB 3.2 interface, the reader offers speeds suitable for professional photographers and videographers. Offload large files, such as high-res RAW images, 8K, 6K & 4K videos, quickly and efficiently at speeds up to 10Gbps (2x faster than USB 3.0). Constructed out of anodized aluminum, the CFexpress™ reader takes advantage of stronger materials to offer ruggedized protection and extend its lifetime. It is also designed with multiple heat sinks to help prevent overheating, which can force the card to throttle back and reduce speeds. CFexpress™ cards, as well as other PCIe-based products, tend to generate a large amount of heat, which in excess can be harmful to the media, host, and even the user.
In addition, the memory card slot is spring-loaded, keeping the CFexpress™ card safely in-tact and covered once pressed in, and will only eject when pressed again. This combined with the built-in rubber end cover provides internal storage and complete, all-around protection. As most computers (PC or Mac) have either built-in USB-A or USB-C ports, the reader comes packaged with (1) USB A-to-C cable and (1) USB C-to-C cable. One important note: XQD, CFast 2.0 & CompactFlash memory cards are not compatible with this memory card reader.
