New Mandatory Marine Pollutant Classification for 2010

Required Marine Pollutant Marking and Regulatory Information Available at Labelmaster

CHICAGO - (January 18, 2010) - Labelmaster currently carries the revised Marine Pollutant marking and has on-staff experts for any questions regarding the new classification regulations. As of January 1, 2010, the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code (IMDG) requirements for the Marine Pollutants and Marine Pollutant markings will be mandatory for all applicable shipments. The DOT requirements for the use of the new marking were in effect as of January 14, 2010.

The required Marine Pollutant marking, also known as the "Environmentally Hazardous Substance" marking, was designed to help shippers and transporters easily identify any liquid or solid materials, including its mixtures and solutions that are classified as marine pollutants.

The new Marine Pollutant markings are in stock and available in paper or vinyl materials.
