New Liquids Technology Available at Process Expo 2009 in Las Vegas

QUADRO ENGINEERING CORP./WRIGHT FLOW TECHNOLOGIES - BOOTH NO.: 6728, will be showcasing their full range of liquids processing solutions at Process Expo 2009, in the Las Vegas Convention Center (October 5 - 7, 2009).

Quadro Engineering Corp. will feature the HV-Emulsifier Series, an innovative rotor-stator mixing device that defines new limits in shear energy and closes the gap in performance between traditional in-line mixers and high-pressure technology. To liquid processing industries interested in submicron size reduction, the Quadro® HV-Emulsifier is the brand of mixer that offers more than thirty times the energy dissipation of a traditional rotor-stator system due its high velocity rotor and unique tooling geometry. Expensive high-pressure homogenizer technology can now be displaced with an HV process solution at 30% of the initial investment and 10% of the annual maintenance cost. The HV-Emulsifier Series features three different models ranging from 20-125Hp depending on desired capacity, up to a maximum of 250gpm. All models utilize energy optimized tooling that operates at tip speeds up to 60m/s with the lowest power consumption in the Industry, in addition to a sanitary high-speed mechanical seal that eliminates potential trap areas around the rotor shaft for improved CIP results. Typical applications in the Food industry include flavors/colorants and functional ingredient production. There are also applications in both the Pharmaceutical (drug delivery creams/ dermatological ointments) and Cosmetic (creams/lotions and multiple emulsions) industries.

The NEW Revolution(TM) Pump from Wright Flow Technologies is the first Clean-In-Place (CIP) hybrid circumferential piston and lobe pump for low pressures. The product is ideal for applications that must meet stringent sanitation standards. The rotor case design enables self-draining to reduce bacterial growth risks, while eliminating seal leak paths, seal dead legs and front-cover dead zones. According to Juan Jose Mejia, Director of Global Marketing for Wright Flow, the Revolution(TM) can lower total lifecycle ownership cost per pump by USD$60,000.00, while reducing total down-time per pump by 160 hours. The improved lifecycle cost and down-time efficiency are achieved by merging products into one circumferential piston and lobe platform. The Revolution(TM)Pump is ideal for low-flow applications in the Food, Personal Care, Pharmaceutical and Specialty Chemical industries.
