New LED High Power and UV Lights as Well as the Innovative LightGuide Area Lighting Successfully Introduced at the VISION 2014

The iiM AG presented this year three product novelties of the brand LUMIMAX® at the trade fair VISIONBooth team of iiM at the VISION 2014
Suhl - From the 4th - 6th November 2014 the business unit "LED illumination" of the iiM AG attended the trade fair VISION 2014 - the international trade fair for industrial machine vision and identification technology.
An overview of the LUMIMAX® product range was displayed on clearly arranged product platforms for the numerous visitors. Additionally, the new LED High Power and UV Lights as well as the innovative LightGuide Area Lighting were presented.
The High Power LED lights were especially developed for Machine Vision applications and meet the highest requirements for light performance, functionality and industrial design. Extremely bright LEDs combined with integrated controller and power electronics guarantee a light intensity, which significantly exceeds 1 million lux during flash operation as well as an excellent illumination of inspected objects. This also even applies for a working distance of several metres.
Furthermore, the complete LED High Power light serie is now available as UV365- and UV400 version.Ultraviolet lights are always important, when it comes to fluorescent paints, seals or adhesives. There are many fields of application for fluorescent substances, so that they are used in many industries. Among others, UV lights are used for quality inspections of various security features or for inspecting cast parts for cracks.
The innovative LightGuide Area Lights were especially designed for transmitted light operations with large objects or for very homogeneous incident light applications, e.g. in robot- or assembly cells and manual work stations. The special feature of the LightGuides is the light of the High Power LEDs, which is directed into the side of a laser-dotted optical wave guide. Due to the laser dots as well as additional diffusors and reflectors, the light is very homogeneously re-directed to the complete illuminating area. Due to this design, the costs for such large light fields can be reduced significantly, as the LEDs placement is more efficient.
Besides these product novelties, the demonstrating construction for flash light operation also generated lots of interest. This flash construction demonstrated the advantages of using flash lights for illuminating rapidly moving objects.
All in all the team from iiM AG is very pleased with the interesting conversations and promising contacts at the three-day trade fair.
